Admissions

Discover more

St Francis is non-selective, and applications are welcome from all pupils who have the potential to contribute to life at Francis, and in turn benefit from the wealth of opportunities we can offer. You are welcome to visit the School at any time, however some of our year groups are currently operating waiting lists, so we do encourage you to visit as far in advance as is practical.

We are currently not running regular Open Mornings as we believe the best way to experience St Francis is an individual tour, bespoke to your requirements. A typical visit will take roughly 1 ½ hours and will include a meeting with the Head (or senior member of staff if he is not available) and a comprehensive tour of the School and grounds.

Admissions Journey

Below is a “typical” admissions journey:

Step 1

Say “Hi”!

Please make an enquiry using the form at the bottom of the page to register your interest in St Francis.

Step 2

Meet us

Come and see St Francis for yourself, meet our pupils, enjoy our wonderful grounds and have a tour by the Headmaster, or other member of the Senior Leadership Team.

Step 3

Register

If you decide that St Francis is the right school for you, we ask you to register as soon as possible. We regularly have to
open a waiting list for prospective pupils, and an early registration is key to progressing to the next step.

Step 4

Sign on the dotted line

The final step would be to offer you a place for your child(ren) to join St Francis!

Step 5

Get to know us

We ask all prospective pupils to spend some time with us before we “make it official”. Ideally pupils would spend a
whole day with us, and have the chance to play with their peers, experience a St Francis education and get a feel for the teachers. For pupils in Year 2 and above this will also include an InCAS assessment.
