Very well done to all our pupils who took part in the recent Schools Triathlon held at Marlborough College and organised by Restless Development. Restless Development have been in touch with the following update and letter of thanks:
‘A total of 93 children who took part in the Flight Centre Schools Triathlon held at Marlborough College a few weeks ago. The sun shone as every child swam, rode their bike and ran their hearts out in their teams of four. The day was great fun and it was lovely to see such brilliant team work.
Children from St Francis have raised an incredible £7,017 to be split between Restless Development and our school charity. A special mention should go to Walter (Year 3) whose brilliant efforts raised £370. Whilst The Rising Sunnys, made up of Emily , Jessica, Emily and Anna (all Year 3) also went above and beyond with their fundraising by raising £685.
With this support, Restless Development can make sure young people around the world are leaders in changing things for the better. Thanks to your support, we are able to help young people gain access to education, start their own businesses and protect themselves against diseases. We believe that young people, like this years group of courageous young triathletes, are united in striving for a safe, sustainable, fair world for everyone, and together we can achieve it – THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT. ‘
Participants who reached the fundraising target of £50, will be congratulated individually and presented with a Restless Development certificate, in a school assembly.
