Pre Prep loves Poetry

Last week, the whole of Pre Prep were busy reading and learning their favourite poems for our annual Poetry Assembly, when children are encouraged to recite or read their poem to all of their friends. It is a brave thing to do, to stand up in front of everyone, so well done to all the children who participated and spoke so loudly and clearly.

We had a huge variety of poems…  Nursery Rhymes; Nonsense Rhymes (which caused great amusement!); The Crocodile’s Toothache; poems about cats and a couple of famous Robert Louis Stevenson poems.

A special mention to JH in Year 1 who decided to write her own poem for the occasion! Well done!

What a lovely way to start the day.
