And the Pi Day Competition winners are….
Pupils at St Francis celebrated Pi Day last month on 14 March, known as Pi Day because the number Pi rounded to two decimal places is 3.14 i.e. the 3rd Month and the 14th Day!
Pi is usually taught at St Francis to pupils in Year 7 and 8, but to introduce the concept in a fun way and to celebrate Pi Day, pupils in Years 5 to 8 took part in a competition to design and produce a poster detailing key facts on Pi and showing an object that they have measured in some way using Pi.
Well done to everyone who entered and congratulations to the three pupils with prize winning entries!
