NSPCC Stay Safe Speak Out Programme

The NSPCC joined us last week for two sessions (Reception to Year 2 & Years 3 -6) on Child Protection.

The message to the children was ‘Speak Out, Stay Safe’. They were introduced to Child Line (0800 1111), the free phone number for children to raise any issues. They were made aware of ‘Trusted Adults’; people that they can go to in the event of needing help. The older pupils in Years 5 and 6 learned the difference between appropriate and inappropriate behaviour.

Finally, we welcomed 35 parents to a workshop to raise awareness of Online Safety. Parents were taken through what to do to help develop sensible and workable plans for online use at home. It was very productive series of events for our community, thank you to the NSPCC.
