Tudors and team building for Year 5 at Hooke Court

Year 5 were recently treated to a fun packed three days at the historic Hooke Court manor house in Dorset.

Spirits were high as the minibuses departed school in glorious sunshine for the journey to Dorset. The first day’s activities centered around Tudor trade and exploration, with plenty of hands on activities keeping everyone occupied right up until bedtime. After a good night’s sleep (some managing more than others!) and a hearty breakfast pupils were ready for a second day of Tudor activities, leading up to a magnificent evening feast, complete with costumes, servants and musical accompaniment.

An evening murder mystery in the grounds of the Court kept inquisitive brain cells ticking after dark. A change of weather on the final morning added a touch of realism to the team-building exercises. It was a somewhat steamy minibus journey back to Wiltshire, arriving just in time for bonfire festivities at school.
