Haybrook Cooking Club goes Greek

HB cookingHaybrook Cooking Club kicked off the club season with a visit to Greece, delicious smells of Flatbreads and Tzatziki wafted around the kitchen!  Our Year 2 chefs learned that Tzatziki is a delicious dip made of Greek yoghurt, garlic and cucumber. The children flexed their muscles as they squeezed all the water out of the cucumbers once they had been de-seeded, peeled and grated and enjoyed weighing, mixing and kneading the dough.Some of the children used gluten-free flour and were interested to see the different consistencies of the dough between the normal and the gluten-free flour.
