Greek Lunch in the Dining Hall
Athens, Xanthi, Corfu, Cos, Parga? ….. no, St Francis School, Pewsey where this week Greece was the subject of the latest in a series of theme’d lunches to be enjoyed by pupils and staff of the St Francis community.
All that was missing was the traditional Greek dancing and plate smashing as we tucked into a Greek menu consisting of Roasted Lamb with Tzatziki, Crispy Feta and Spinach Pie, a selection of Greek salads and Honey Yoghurt Cheesecake.
In the last nine months, we’ve tried cuisine from India, Mexico, the English Seaside and Morocco and even though it has sometimes been unfamiliar, everyone has embraced the idea with enthusiasm, sampled new tastes and textures and on occasions been pleasantly surprised!
Our culinary journey around the world continues next term and we’re already busy thinking of new and exciting ideas with which to tempt everyone. Next stop? That’d be telling but we could be heading north east!
