Former St Francis family takes a stroll down memory lane

Our Headmaster, Mr Sibson, helped a former St Francis family take a walk down memory lane over half term with a very special visit to our school.

He was contacted by a former pupil, who wanted to arrange the surprise visit to help celebrate her mother’s 70th birthday because she had such fond memories of her four children’s time at St Francis.

Together with her husband, Mrs Fay was one of the group of parents who helped the school move from the centre of the village to its current site in the 1980’s. The parents clubbed together to buy Haybrook House and refurbished the property over the summer so it could be used as a school.

Mrs Fay’s four children, Henry, Rose, Alice and Beth were keen to recreate a family photo of them all together at the door to Haybrook House. Mr Sibson was delighted to be able to capture the same shot more than 30 years later, complete with replica uniforms!
