Year 3 have dressed up today (gas masks at the ready!) for Evacuee Day. They will learn more about what it was like to be a child during World War II.
Maths and Handwriting lessons are on the timetable, taught on a good old fashioned black board and (for today), by very strict teachers. Pupils will be making models of air raid shelters and planes, before they break for a WWII themed lunch, which the whole school will share and hopefully enjoy : Potato Piglets, Corned Beef Fritters, Potato Jane, Bubble & Squeak, Red Cabbage and War Time Honey Biscuits.
