Award-winning Healthy Eating


All children from Saplings (in Nursery) upwards enjoy lunch in the dining room and eat with members of staff.  Our younger Nursery children from Little Buds and Acorns are served the same meals, prepared by the Catering Team according to age, in Nursery. Healthy eating is strongly encouraged with vegetarian dishes and fresh salads always available. Home-made yoghurts, mousses and panna cotta, fresh fruit salads and fruit coulis are available daily on the cold dessert servery. We have won two Heartbeat Awards for Healthy Eating from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, who have also awarded our Catering Department the maximum of five stars!  

There are three sittings per day at 12:00, 12:30 and 1:00.  Children are encouraged to eat a balanced diet and to have consideration for other diners.

As well as catering every day for children and staff, Mrs Baish and her team cater for School match teas, refreshments at performances & events, provide celebration cakes and create legendary canap├ęs for Speech Day. The catering department also carefully provide for several pupils with a range of allergies and serious dietary needs.
