Last Choir Standing 2017

The pupils of form 4M were thrilled to be chosen Last Choir Standing Competition Winners for 2017!

Each Form from Reception to Year 8 have been working hard on their chosen song and performance in preparation for the competition, which is a yearly school event. All the songs were based on the theme of Musicals and there were some fantastic performances featuring solo spots and dance moves.

The winning form 4M with their well deserved trophy and with judge Mr George Bevan, Director of Music at Monkton School and Mrs Kay Francis, Director of Music at St Francis.

We were delighted to welcome Mr George Bevan, Director of Music from Monkton School to judge the competition.  Mr Bevan selected the best performances from Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior Prep classes in the school – these classes then went on to perform again against each other for the coveted title.  Thank you to Mr Bevan, who entertained pupils, parents and staff with his enthusiastic critiques and feedback and everyone enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of music and song.

4M’s winning performance was Colours of the Wind (by Stephen Schwartz & Alan Menken) from the movie Pocahontas. Well done to all our pupils for their accomplished and enthusiastic performances and many congratulations to 4M.
