Cricket Masterclass

Senior pupils enjoyed a great cricket masterclass yesterday with Marlborough College Cricket Professional, Mark Alleyne.

The session was a unique opportunity to have a former international and county cricket player coach our Senior cricketers in the Hemery Sports Hall at St Francis.

Mark Alleyne, the former Gloucestershire all-rounder was appointed as the new Cricket Professional at Marlborough College in November 2015. He won ten ODI caps for England between 1999 and 2000 and captained the record breaking Gloucestershire limited over side of the early 2000s.

He became one of Wisden’s Five Cricketers of the Year in 2001 and was awarded an MBE in 2004. Since retiring, Mark Alleyne has been Head Coach at both Gloucestershire and then Marlborough College.

Many thanks to Mark and Marlborough College Sports!
